Prospecting - The biggest problem for most newbies who start in MLM is...

‘Who do I talk to?’

I started prospecting my friends and family. They didn’t care about my new ‘Network Marketing Business Opp’. They did care about me and gave me some ‘sympathy sales’ to encourage me.

That’s no way to build a million dollar business.

Not strangers - They don't even care about you

If you were to stand on the corner and ask each person as they pass, 'Would you like to earn extra money, even replace your current income?', most would say 'Yes'.

Let me tell you that most of them would be a waste of your time.

You need to find out which ones will DO something

How about offering them some free training? Would they take advantage of it? Offer them Success in Ten Steps for Free. Would you still be taking to the majority? No. Of course not.

You have just learnt an important lesson. Sort, don't sell. Find a way to disqualify people as fast as possible to find the ones who are interested.

That is Marketing.

The lifeblood of any business is a flow of qualified fresh prospects

A cooperative dedicated to providing it's members with fresh unique leads, names of people who have asked to be mentored, would be something every business owner would love.

Having Mentoring For Free, for you and your team, makes it a steal. It would also let you know you had someone serious.

Try not. Do or Do not. There is no Try - Yoda

Who would you rather have in your business?

Your salesman cousin who plans to win the lottery - or

A person who has committed to spend 10 - 20 hours a month on learning essential business skills?

Don't talk to your family at all

They are NOT your Warm Market.

If you hear someone telling you to make a list of your family and friends - run.

Likewise if you are told to buy leads

You can easily find enough free leads if you learn to prospect using the internet. Most companies are still promoting out of date methods of prospecting.

Don't follow the 30 foot rule

If you think that talking to everyone within 30 feet is a system, forget it. First, you are only Suspecting instead of Prospecting. And, of course, it is not duplicatable.

There are far better options.

Don't use Company websites - Use your own

Although they may have a website that is a visual feast, it will be a marketing disaster. This is a good thing. It forces you to create your unique Brand of One - 'You Inc.' and take a leadership role.

Don't worry, you can do it step by step.

It may take a couple of months to do but you can create your own Sponsoring Pipeline to the ocean of Network Marketing leads online.

Promote yourself with Self Funded Marketing

After you have a viable web presence, you can crank it up. You only do this when you know that people who come to your site will spend enough to offset your promotion costs.

The two main ways of Lead Advertising are solo ads in eZines and GoogleAds - You must do small tests on each so that you know your 'metrics'

You wouldn't mind spending $1000 if you knew you would get $2000 in return, would you. How fast can you do it again?

You can learn to write adverts to place in newspapers, eZines and Google that will pay their way in a very short time.
