The MLM Lie of 100 'No's'Will Keep You FailingThis lie is designed to keep you committed to a flawed system for a year or two. At least you will be buying an over priced product for that long. In my first MLM, 20 years ago, I was told by my Intermediate Space Commander upline that I could get to be Junior Space Commander if I applied myself to showing enough people. It was never mentioned that they should be interested people. Get 100 No'sTo take away the focus from getting No's, she told me, 'You will get there, if you get those 100 no's'. so I went for it and got those 100 No's in three months. I still only had 8 yes's who where doing nothing but watching me. I got really committedSo. I went for another three months and got another 100 no's and a few more yes's - who did nothing. They were all thinking the same thing. 'I couldn't do that'. To tell the truth, I was amazed that I was doing it too. It took me years to figure out I wasn't to blame. There was no prospecting - just suspecting. The system of 'spinning the circles' and collecting no's was a sales process and the only coaching was to perpetuate that system. There was no relationship, mentoring or marketing. It took an MLM lie to keep me going - and trapped. Why get any no's? You decide who gets to join you. |
